We offer several types of classes to meet the needs of our students . You have a choice of SSI or PADI, both agencies have been around since the 60's. Prices will vary depending on what you want out of your training. The options revolve mainly around your open water dives, they can range from local beach or lake dives to boat dive on the east coast or in the Florida Keys. If you would like to stay for two or more days we can also take care of lodging.

As you read down this page you will notice the different options and pricing. The reason that we offer so many choices is to not only meet your schedule the best we can, but also your price range. A list of scheduled classes can be found on the News & Events page. However if you have four or more people interested in taking class we can set up a class around your scheduling.

Private Training ( 1 on 1 ) , Semi - Private ( 2 to 3 students ) and Group Training ( 4 to 8 students )

If you notice we like to keep our classes no more then 6 or 7 students. This give us better control of the class and gives you more individual training.

Our classroom is on site and designed to be very comfortable for up to eight students. The pool is only about a 15 minutes away. Local open water dive sites are between 30 to 60 minutes drive time. The lake we use is a one and one half hour drive from Depthfinders.

For those that haven't dove in awhile we offer Refreshers, this can include pool, classroom or open water dives. The price will range from $25.00 to $75.00 per person depending on how much you feel or the instructor feels you need to do.

We do PADI, SSI and Universal Referrals. So if your up north in that cold part of the country there is no need to freeze in that lake, river or quarry. Do your classroom and pool at your local dive shop and join us for your check out dives in open water. The Gulf usually ranges in temperature "from lower 50's in the winter months to almost 90 in the summer. I know you will be pleased with the low price for referral dives.

One question we're often asked is "can my husband, wife, son, daughter etc... sit in on the classes with me if they are already certified?" Sure we encourage families to train and dive together. As long as they do not interfere with your training they are welcome to tag along.

All students are required to have their own personal equipment. This will consist of a mask, fins with boots, snorkel, a weight belt and eight pounds of weight (you may need to buy more weight later).

The only exception to this is referrals that are flying in do not have to provide their own weights. Or if other agreements between the instructor and student has been made.

The reason some SSI classes are a little more expensive is because of the additional material you receive. With both PADI and SSI open water class you receive the manual and the RDP or Table ( recreational dive planner ), a student file and PIC card ( paperwork for your certification card ). You will have youe choice of DVD or Video. You will still need to purchase a log book and provide two passport size photos.

All students must have their own personal equipment : Mask, Snorkel, Fins ( boots if needed ) Weight belt and Weights. Advanced open water students must also have or rent a BC, Regulator system with 3 - gauge console and any scuba tanks that may be needed. Any specialty equipment needed such as Lights, Lift Bags, Photo slates, Pony Bottles, reels will be the responsability of the student.

In addition to the great value offer for your training. You will receive a discount of 10% on the following items: dive slates, comfort straps, tank bangers, dive knifes, gloves & dive lights. This offer is good with any class of $125.00 or more. And only during the time that you are a student.

All the above prices are based on per person. They reflect pricing for each student. Any classes that require a over night stay are based on two people per room.
