We are located at 1225 Tamiami Trail ( US-41 ) just north of SR-776 in the Charlotte Trade Center.Look for our red and white dive flag flying out front on the West side of US-41. That's one block north of the Town Center Mall and accross from Charlotee County Honda VW.

We opened Depthfinders back in 1997, our goal has always been Customer First!!

We have seen thousands of customers walk through our doors, and would like to thank each and every one of you. There are many choices out there in the dive industry. We feel that the reason people keep coming back is that we try to make everyone feel Welcome and we are NOT pushy salesman. Sometimes people just want to take a break from their busy day and talk diving for awhile and that is OK. If you have never been in the shop, stop by when your in the area and see what we have to offer.

Betty helps out in the shop and keeps me on track, and she also heads up some of our dive trips. Betty has been in the area since the mid 70's and has been diving for about 20 plus years. She has a great deal of local diving knowledge.

As for myself I moved to Florida in 1986 and I've been teaching scuba since 1996. I have two children that live in Michigan (Chris & Jessica), and I also have three grandchildren and one on the way. Gee I must have started having children when I was very young. I come from many years of retail management and inventory control.

I’ve been in the dive business since 1998. I grew up in the Cleveland area and moved to Port Charlotte in 1996. I have been an Advanced Scuba Instructor since 1998. I own and operate a Dive / Fish Charter business “ Accurate Charters”. I have a 28 ft Sea Chaser offshore series boat. I have a hobby called Diving!!! I love fishing and hunting as well, thanks to the many hours my dad invested in me. For those that know me, I put the two together and go spear fishing! Prices on charters have been as up and down due to the price of gas. But rest assured, you’ll have a great time. Whether it’s a giant grouper or fresh tuna, the crowd your used to will not be there but the clear blue water will. Visibility is great since we don’t stay close to shore like many others do and if you think you can do 4 tanks, bring them. I love to see others enjoy their dives. There is no need for rushing on the boat or in the dive shop!!! There are many wrecks along the coast. The Bay Ronto, a 400 foot British freighter, sank during a hurricane in 1919.
